yuan, up by 14.6 percent over the previous year, which accounted for 45.7
percent of Hangzhou GDP. The total output value of the industrial enterprises
above designated size was 683.991 billion yuan, up by 25.7 percent and the sales
value of them achieved 672.947 billion yuan, up by 25.9 percent. Of the
industrial enterprises above designated size, the output value of new products
achieved 59.014 billion yuan, up by 39.5 percent and the total output value of
high-tech industry reached 116.532 billion yuan, up by 45.6 percent. The
resource consumption dropped slightly. The power consumption of the total
industry in the city increased 14.2 percent compared with the previous year,
which decreased 0.4 percentage points than the growing rate of the industrial
value-added in the city. The sales income of the industrial enterprises
above designated size achieved 666.836 billion yuan, up by 26.8 percent over the
previous year and the amount of their profits and taxes were 56.328 billion
yuan, up by 23.1 percent. Of the total, the profits and taxes of high-tech
industry numbered 6.897 billion yuan, up by 49.9 percent. The production and
marketing rate of industrial products reached 98.39 percent, increased 0.17
percentage points compared with the previous year. The total value-added of
the construction sector achieved 17.05 billion yuan, up by 3.1 percent over the
previous year. The annual construction value of construction enterprises was
126.19 billion yuan, up by 16.6 percent. The floor space under construction was
133.26 million square meters and the completed floor space was 47.8 million
square meters.
