The total output value of farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery achieved 23.497 billion yuan, up by 7.1 percent over the previous year. Of the total, the output value of planting sector was 12.520 billion yuan，up by 10.2 percent, that of forestry sector was 2.685 billion yuan, up by 15.2 percent, that of animal husbandry sector was 4.773 billion yuan, down by 3.8 percent and that of fishery sector was 2.959 billion yuan, up by 9.3 percent.
　　The total output of grain in 2006 was 1.0707 million tons, up by 3.4 percent over the previous year; that of aquatic products reached 0.1637 million tons, up by 10.7 percent; that of fresh fruits amounted to 0.6376 million tons, up by 21.3 percent and that of silkworm cocoons＆mulberry numbered 18,400 tons, up by 12.9 percent. The forest coverage rate of Hangzhou rose from 62.8 percent of the previous year to 64 percent.
　　The “6 Advantageous Industries” of tea, seedling plants, aquatic products, grains-saving livestock & poultry, vegetables and bamboos achieved an output value of 14.467 billion yuan, up by 15.5 percent over the previous year. The “5 Featured Industries” of fresh fruits, dried fruits, silkworm cocoons＆mulberry, medicinal materials and honey achieved an output value of 2.889 billion yuan, up by 20.9 percent. They accounted for 73.9 percent of the total agricultural output value, increased 6.1 percentage points over the previous year.
